Weekend Trip to Tirupati from Bangalore

Weekend Trip to Tirupati from Bangalore: This was my second trip to Tirupati from Bangalore. I started on Friday night at 10:30 from Marathalli. I had booked package tour from Redbus in 2,200 rupees. My bus reached Tirupati around 5 AM in the morning at hour hotel provided by our tour operator. They gave time for half an hour to get the shower and all, and after that, we boarded the bus once again to go to the temple.

On the Way to Tirupati Temple:

I had to get my head shave done and there were few more people with us who had to get their head shaved so we all got down from the bus, our tour guide was with us to take us to the barber shop, we all gave him 100 rupees per person for the head shave. After half an hour we were ready with the shaved head and ready to go to the temple.
We took a Mahindra Jeep from that place and we got down near the temple. Now we were ready to go inside the temple. But before entering the temple premises we had to submit our electronic gadgets such as camera, mobile, and all other electronic items. If you are submitting your mobile here then please keep the important mobile no with you, and if you have to make phone calls then you can use the landlines available inside the temple premises.

Inside Tirupati Temple Premises:

We entered in the temple premises around 9 AM in the morning, but what we saw there was really surprising for us. It was the humongous crowd in the temple premises then I realized, I have come on a wrong day, yes it was a wrong day because it was Vaikuntha Ekadashi (A Hindu rituals which come once in a year) that day.

Lord Venkateswara Darshan:

We stayed in the waiting hall and waited for almost 12 hours for hour turn to see the Lord Venkateswara (Lord Balaji). Finally, It was around 10 o'clock when we entered the main temple. The main temple has pure gold covering the temple from outside and this is the richest temple in India.
Finally, I completed my Darshan (visit) of Lord Venkateswara and It took around half an hour to come out of the temple with the Ladoo (sweets).

Exiting the Lord Venkateswara Temple, Tirupati:

After coming out of the temple we all collected our mobiles and other electronic items and we boarded the bus for the hotel to collect our belonging. It was around 12 o'clock in the night when we all had dinner provided by the tour operator which was included in the package. Finally around 12:30 we boarded the bus for Bangalore. And the bus reached Bangalore at around 7 AM in the morning. It took 10 hours extra because of the rush in the temple but if you go in a normal day and if it is not weekend and holiday season then you can save at least 8-10 hours.

Wish you a happy journey and a nice stay at Tirupati. Enjoy your trip.
