A Trip to Thailand from India | A Trip to Phuket

A Trip to Thailand from India | A Trip to Phuket: Phuket is known as one of the popular tourist spots in Thailand. It’s famous for their cheap accommodation, offshore islands, clear water beaches, and many more!

Patong Beach Phuket

We visited Phuket in December 2017, and we had lots of fun there in 3 days. We chose Centara villas Phuket for our stay, this property is basically villas between the trees and has ocean facing view. If you are looking for something secluded and quiet to enjoy your time away then this is the place for you. We reached our resort in the evening and The first thing that I did after reaching Phuket was I went straight to Patong beach. Phuket seriously can boast about clear waters and the beaches are oh-so-awesome. There are many restaurants and resorts close by. It also offers very good options for accommodation. I spent some part of the day just lazing here.

Then after this, I roamed around the nearby market to the beach that is Bangla Road, it is basically the heart of all Phuket Nightlife. Bangla road is not just a road, but a street dedicated to bar, discos, music and crowded with Pretty girl's. A unique atmosphere. Bangla Road in Patong on Phuket Island is world famous and if you do not know well about this is that it is not for you. I recommend the Bar "Gossip" on Bangla Road, small but good atmosphere.

Food Options in Thailand

Thailand offers varieties of seafood for food lovers like Sticky Rice, Steamed Lemon Fish, Thai chicken curry, Ice creams and their local deserts were the best. But the worst thing was that no varieties of food for vegetarians, Still they can enjoy local veg Thai food like Thai Chili Broccoli Salad, Vegetable Thai Curry, and Rocky's Pad Thai.

Phi Phi Island

Next day I started off early towards Phi Phi Island. You can choose between Krabi and Phi Phi if you’re making a trip towards Phuket. So I chose Phi Phi. I wanted to see these breathtakingly beautiful little pockets of islands. Phi Phi island is about 2.5 hours ferry ride from Phuket. A cab will come to pick you up from your hotel at 7 in the morning (that’s the worst part) and will drop you at the seaport where you will get the ferry. We took our seats on the deck of the ferry and started our journey, As I got closer to Phi Phi Islands, the color of the water was what impressed me the most. You can even stay at one of the beach resorts at Phi Phi. I would suggest this if you have an extra day at hand.

After reaching the island, you will get long tail boats to try so many water activities here like scuba diving and snorkeling. This was where I tried my hand at snorkeling for the first time. I got to see such cute looking fishes and other aquatic life. Though initially scared, I enjoyed myself thoroughly.

Experiencing the Famous Thai Massage

After coming back we went to try the famous Thai massage, I must say somebody had rightly said that you would get the best of massages in Thailand and I was lucky enough to experience it. There were so many options available like aroma massage, Aloe Vera massage, olive oil etc; u can choose any of them according to your budget and time.

Thailand City Tour

Next day was for City tour, Being in Thailand and not visiting their gorgeous looking Buddhist temples? No way! We went to wat Chalong first, This is considered as one of the most important Buddhist temples. It looks absolutely stunning with the kind of decor it has! There are a certain charm and beauty associated with Buddhist temples. It’s almost as if someone had just then decked it up. This is a place given to bursting crackers. Just like how we ring a bell in a temple, they burst small crackers here. I witnessed this for the first time in my life. Then we went to Big Buddha temple, as the name suggests there is a big white colored statue of Buddha, upon reaching the top you get to see the city view which is just so beautiful.

Next morning we had to leave for the airport, but before this, we went to see the famous mall Jungceylon and did the mandatory shopping from inside and the local shops nearby to the mall only
